We asked our readers which vehicles they believed government should purchase and our homepage poll garnered more than 23 000 votes.
The majority of readers (59%) called for government to spend tax-payer funds on budget cars or entry-level cars. Interestingly, 31% believe government should purchase locally-produced vehicles. Alarmingly, 4% believe that minister's cars should be "exorbitant status symbols".
