The Automobile Association says: 'The current road death situation is untenable', as it urges all motorists to change their behaviour ahead of the expected festive season traffic rush.

'This move is a pre-emptive one, driven by the rate at which the current 'CA' licence numbers are fast depleting,' says Western Cape transport MEC Donald Grant as cars in Cape Town could sport new 'CAA' licence plates.
