Mid-week wrap: 7 great stories you shouldn't miss

Cape Town – From Nico Rosberg botching the 2016 German GP to a South African driver reacting to Mercedes' hulking 6x6 spotted on our roads, the first few days of August 2016 has seen an interesting mix of motoring articles. 

The smallest sedan in the Mercedes-Benz line-up, the CLA, has undergone a facelift. The updated sedan has arrived in South Africa.

Nico Rosberg botched the first lap of German GP and with it saw Lewis Hamilton ultimately win the race and extend his lead by 19-points. Pundits and former F1 veterans, like Franck Montagny, believe Rosberg has already lost the 2016 title despite many races left on the calendar.

6. Did this pooch take revenge by crashing its owner's car?

A female motorist left her two dogs in a hot car at a shopping centre parking lot. One of the dogs reportedly became restless and managed to disengage the vehicle's parking brake. The unsecured vehicle rolled into a shopping centre. Fortunately, the animals were unhurt.
