BMW's X7 meets 'Big 7' wildlife, SA's man million-km Isuzu bakkie - Top motoring stories of the day

Listen to any old driver of a South African bakkie, and they will tell you how reliable and resilient those vehicles were. Like 74-year-old Gerhard du Toit from Oudtshoorn who has clocked over a million kilometres on his Isuzu bakkie.

With full-size seven-seat capacity, the luxurious X7 is the largest ever production machine in the BMW line-up. Ferdi de Vos took the Big Seven to the exclusive MalaMala Game Reserve in search of its seven wild counterparts, as depicted in The Big Seven, the latest book by Gareth Hinde and Will Taylor.

In celebration of Heritage Day 2019, Ford South Africa commissioned a team from its own Paint Shop at the Silverton Assembly Plant in Pretoria to #BringIt.
