Last week we reported that the Western Cape government was releasing CCTV crash footage as part of its Crash Witness campaign.
The videos showed real crashes in the Western Cape as part of the annual Safely Home campaign. Now the province has released its second batch of videos in the hope of giving drivers a wake-up call during the holiday season.
'PHENOMENAL RESPONSE'
Since the campaign launched, videos have been made available on YouTube with some clips being watched more than 15 000 times.
Transport and public works minister Robin Carlisle said: "The response from the public, in emails sent to us and comments made on our website, has been phenomenal and 98% positive in support of the campaign."
"We are considering extending the campaign beyond Christmas."
Below are the second batch of three videos: Viewer discretion is advised, especially during the second clip.
