Renault is again gunning for the average wallet with the promised introduction of a budget pocket rocket called the Clio S.
Channelling the popular sports derivative of the 1990s, the modern version will also take on a decidedly sporty feel with its 16-inch white alloy wheels, red or white exterior trimmings and ‘S’ stripes along the flanks and across the roof.

Based on the existing Expression model within the Clio range, the S will be offered with a choice of four exterior colours and four engine options in either three- or five-door body styles.
Although an Expression model is no longer offered in the local Clio line-up, it is likely the 1.6-litre version will be the ticket when Clio S is launched here in mid-2010.
