New Focus ST

The updated Focus range will arrive in South Africa in the first quarter of 2008. As with the normal Focus the biggest styling changes are reserved for the front. It gets Mondeo-style headlights and a new honeycomb grille.

There are also integrated foglights in the front bumper. A massive air intake, as inspired by the Verve concept car, is also new.

Ford has also updated the rear-end with a revised tailgate. The car gets a sporty diffuser-style bumper too.

On the inside there is improved fit and finish with new instruments and revised controls for the audio system and ventilation.

Ford didn't mess with the ST's engine and the car's 2.5-litre turbocharged engine is unchanged. The 166kW five-cylinder unit propels this hot hatch from 0-100km/h in only 6.5 seconds.
