Fiat has unveiled a revamped Palio on the Brazilian market.

Since its introduction in 1996 over two million Palio hatchback models have been produced in five countries, and over 3.5 million units of the whole family, including Sienna, Albea, Palio Weekend and Strada.

According to Fiat the latest Palio arrives on the market in five versions, including two body styles, three engines and two equipment levels.

Three engine options are available, a 1.0, 1.4 and 1.8-litre.

The Palio features a new exterior which grew 20mm in length and 6mm in width. There's a brand-new front end with new headlights, bonnet and grille. The rear of the car is more rounded with new rear lamps.

Inside there are lighter fabrics, roof lights, vanity mirrors, electric front windows and so on. ABS, EBD and airbags are now optional for all versions.

  • Fiat SA told Wheels24 that they must still decide whether or not to sell the new Palio here.
