Best named Jensen Interceptor

Back to main story

An American muscle car in a handmade Italian suit. If you're of a certain age then chances are that you've always hankered after a Jensen. Not only does it have possibly the greatest car name of all time but the Interceptor furrows its own path deeper than anything sold by Massey Ferguson, agricultural equipment manufacturer.

Its thirsty 7.2 V8 thumbs its nose at common sense so just ease back in the thick hide interior, flick it into drive and let the long bonnet reach towards the sky. You don't have to explain that to anyone.

The Jenson was HAND built in West Bromwich in England, Typical SA newspapers don't do any research into anything, JUST GOOGLE IT FFS

Not having the best internet skills, I admit, but this is what I found (on Wikipedia): " The Interceptor saw a return to a steel body-shell instead of glass-reinforced plastic and by having the body designed by an outside firm, Carrozzeria Touring of Italy, rather than the in-house staff. The early bodies were Italian-built, by Vignale, before production by Jensen themselves began – with subtle body modifications – in West Bromwich. " And it used a Chrysler V8 engine... (American built) Rather read slowly (we won't laugh if you move your lips), and try to understand the article before finding fault with the 'typical SA newspapers'.
