Huge petrol price rise on way

PRETORIA - The national energy department has announced that the retail price of all grades of petrol will increase by 81 cents a litre from March 6 2013.

The price of desel with 0.05 and 0.005% sulphur content will rise by 58.3c/litre.

The wholesale price of paraffin will go up by 57c/litre.

The department said that during the period under review the average international product prices of petrol, diesel and illuminating paraffin had increased.
