If your fondest Fiat recollections include the scarily potent Uno Turbo, it could be time to re-write your memories.
Take a look at the new Fiat Uno, which goes on sale in Brazil this month, before being introduced in other South American markets.
Fiat Auto SA says the possibility of the new Uno being sold here is “not likely in the near future” since initial production is limited to left-hand drive models only.
Uno is expected to remain an entry-level offering, but the attractive new car should (physically) fit between the Panda and Punto models.
In Brazil, it is reported, the Uno will be sold with a choice of 1.0- and 1.4-litre flex-fuel petrol engines running on a mix of ethanol and petrol. Both units are mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.
