It has to be one of the most unlikely pairings we’ve seen this year, but Ford will showcase its all-new budget contender, the Figo, at the upcoming Nampo show.
The biggest agricultural show in the southern hemisphere will play host to the littlest new Ford hatchback from May 18 to 21.
“Nampo provides a unique opportunity for us to interact with the farming community, a community that is very important to Ford,” said Ben Pillay, Ford marketing manager.
“This year we have chosen to give Nampo showgoers the unique opportunity of viewing the Ford Figo, which is due to be launched in SA in July. It’s an exciting introduction for us and we are sure the public will be equally excited to get a closer look at the new hatch.”
Built in India, Figo is based on the previous generation Fiesta and will be available in South Africa with a choice of 1.4 petrol and diesel engines.
Ford will also use the Nampo opportunity to show off its limited edition Ranger Wildtrak, while 4X4 enthusiasts are invited to tackle an off-road course in the Everest and Ranger.
