Footballer flees flaming Ferrari

Valencia midfielder Ever Banega appears to be going through a spell of bad luck with his car.

In a bizarre occurrence, the football player’s Ferrari, which appears to be a 360 Modena, mysteriously burst into flames as he arrived at Valencia’s Paterna training ground on Monday.

The player was able to flee in time, however, the car was burnt beyond repair.

The same car was reportedly the cause of more anguish for Banega in February, 2012. While at a service station, the footballer had forgotten to use the handbrake and the car rolled onto his foot, breaking his ankle, tibia and fibula.

He has not played since that incident, although he hopes to be fit for the start of the season in August.

Flaming Ferraris are not a new problem for the supercar maker; it was forced to issue a fire-risk recall for its 458 in 2010 to after several of the cars inexplicably burst into flames.

Lambos and Ferraris use a certain type of glue in the engine bay to attach a few bits and pieces which is flammable. That could be the cause, thats what I've heard from a few people. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Just my 5c...
