Facelift for Mazda BT-50 bakkie

With a new front-end and vey questionable dual-tone finish on the double-cab models, the latest BT-50 bakkie facelift is one European product change we can pass by.
Mazda has given its European BT-50 bakkie a mild facelift, unveiled in the medieval Adriatic coast city of Dubrovnik.

Though mechanically the new European models are identical to our local BT-50s – with the same brilliant 115kW 3l TDCi turbodiesel engines – they do feature a new, easy-driving five-speed automatic transmission.

Interiors are virtually indistinguishable, with better fabrics being the only tangible difference.

Exterior styling upgrades include sliver-look headlamps bezels and a new grille which could be a little too soft for introduction to the forbidding local bakkie market.
