This A3 TDI's arsenal also adds peak power of 165 kW from its common-rail 2.0-litre and a 0 - 100 km/h time of 6.6 seconds. It is said to have a top speed of 240 km/h.
Power is put to the massive 20-inchers via a six-speed manual transmission and quattto all-wheel drive. Stopping power, on the other hand, is aided by six-pot calipers and ceramic discs at the front.
Dynamically, Audi's drive select driving dynamics system allows the driver to vary the throttle characteristics, exhaust note and amount of play allowed by the electric driver power steering, and manage the car's ESP thresholds.
The system also includes Audi's magnetic ride active damper control.
But this show car looks the go-faster type too.
It is fitted with a huge DTM-inspired rear spoiler and bolt-on wheel arch extensions, for starters, and on the inside gains racer bucket seats and an R8-like aluminium slotted gear lever gate. And take a look at those giant twin-tailpipes!
The one-off show car is one of the attractions at the upcoming Lake Wörther Tour in Austria, a major annual gathering of Audi and Volkswagen enthusiasts.
