EN61 AND plate sells for R200k+

LONDON, England - Brian Brody, a passionate England supporter, scooped a prized car licence plate at a Olympic-themed auction being staged by DVLA Personalised Registrations here.

Unsurprisingly, number plates EN61 AND and BU11 DOG proved to be in high demand, selling for the equivalent of R203 000 and R213 000 respectively. The DVLA auction scored R1.3-million from the first 50 lots.

London 2012 ambassador and former athlete Iwan Thomas showed his support by auctioning two registrations, REL 44Y and RUN 3R, which fetched R9 500 and R33 000 respectively.
