Considering the recent tragedies involving buses, it would be assumed that bus drivers and the companies that employ them would take into account the dangers of driving recklessly.
However, based on this video captured by reader of our readers, this does not seem to be entirely true.
Reader Andy Evans posted a video to YouTube showing a City-to-City bus driving haphazardly on the R538 between Numbi and White River in Mpumalanga.
SERIOUS COLLISION AVERTED
The bus apparently overtook Andy's car and then, as seen in the video, overtakes another car around a blind bend. Soon after, an oncoming car is seen rounding the corner; a serious collision could have occurred.
Evans e-mailed Wheels24 saying, “The bus, which was full of passengers, was driving at speeds in excess of 120km/h. It overtook our vehicle in a very dangerous manner and then proceeded to overtake the vehicle in front of us around a blind corner."
He has lodged a complaint with the bus company.
How many more tragedies will it take for these bus operators to realise how many lives they put in danger?
