Sort of cheesy, but definitely different, Audi has teamed up with Justin Timberlake (and some luscious lady) to create an online movie ahead of the A1’s European market release. View the first of six webisodes here.
Audi describes “The Next Big Thing” as a “suspenseful, mysterious story” although we’re convinced most viewers would just want to check out the car.
All the same, Timberlake plays John Frank, an IT specialist, who has to save Toni's life. The female lead is played by Dania Ramirez.
“The timing for the film was not chosen at random, as you will be able to order the A1 soon”, said Peter Schwarzenbauer, Audi Board Member for Marketing and Sales.
“The film is action-packed and entertaining, perfectly suited to the young target group of our A1. At the same time the movie provides kind of a virtual test drive: it shows skillful handling, technical refinement and presents the self-assured design of the A1,” Schwarzenbauer continued.
Timberlake became an Audi brand ambassador earlier this year and was present at the A1’s unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show in March. The A1 comes to South Africa early next year.
