Romain Dumas, fresh from breaking the famous Pikes Peak hillclimb overall record (and for a fully-electric car), had a big moment up the Goodwill hill at the Festival of Speed Sunday.
Set the record at Pikes Peak
The French driver who was behind the wheel of the Volkswagen ID R, which has an electric engine on each axle, was on his first run up the hill when he got into a bit of trouble and almost veered into the hay bales.
The three-time Le Mans 24 hours winner showed all his experience by managing to keep the car going and avoid a massive shunt.
