From exoskeletons to a Mercedes-Benz inspired by the movie Avatar, the Consumer Electronics Show featured some of the coolest concepts.

Even though most of the concepts on show are radical in their own way, from a motoring perspective the futuristic Mercedes-Benz Vision AVTR is something not of this world.

The German automaker drew inspiration from the Hollywood flick Avatar into the whole design process and embodies the vision of Mercedes-Benz designers, engineers and trend researchers for mobility in the distant future.

It boasts a power figure of 350kW with intelligent and fully variable torque distribution working in unison with four fully individually controllable motors.

The Vision AVTR can also move sideways by approximately 30 degrees which is also known as the 'crab movement'.

It has an impressive range of 700km while the battery will be fully recharging in less than 15 minutes by recuperating during roll-out and braking process.

The interior and seats are refined by the vegan DINAMICA® leather which is the first and only microfibre that guarantees environmental sustainability throughout the entire production cycle.
