While car designers usually have to stay on a clear, laid-out path when sketching a new model, some get away with including small references and eccentricities that make it to the final product.

However, some automakers allow their teams to include Easter eggs.

The Jeep Renegade's lights reference the symbol found on the petrol cans at the back of an original Willys Jeep.

The E-Pace has rather unique light display; it shows the Jaguar logo followed by a cub, a nod the vehicle's position as the automaker's junior SUV.
