WATCH: EU plans speed-limiting tech for new cars

All new cars could be fitted with special devices from 2022 to automatically make them keep to the speed limit after new EU rules were provisionally agreed.

The EU says the technology could reduce road deaths and injuries.

The system, receives information via GPS and stored data informing the vehicle what the local speed limit is regardless of the vehicle's position.
