A California-based company called Lime is focused on getting people out of their cars and onto their dockless electric scooters.
According to the Toronto Star, the e-scooters don't make use of docking stations, allowing consumers to pick up and it along the streets.
Mobility made easy
The scooter costs $1 (about R15) to unlock and 15c per minute riding and it doesn't have to be returned to a particular spot. The company recommends it be left near a bike rack or curbs.

According to Lime, the scooter has a top speed of around 24km/h with a total range of 32km/h generated from its 250w motor.
