Its uncommon  to see the elderly behind the wheel of technologically advanced cars, at least according to those in automotive marketing. 

That is not the case in Japan as elderly motorists are buying into a market that was never targeted at them. 

Never too old

Most of these pensioners are finding comfort in cars boasting technology such as automatic emergency braking and error detecting pedals as opposed to older cars with the traditional way of driving.

In order to curb the amount of crashes involving older drivers, the government has acted swiftly on by acquiring drivers over 75 to renew their drivers licence at specific driving schools.
