How we travel in 2019 is likely to be very different from how we will travel by the turn of the century. But what will it look like? Will we all commute in the sky? Will we be operative in other colonies outside work? What will the typical car look like?

To get an idea on what could change, RS Components  asked two of the teams competing in 2019’s SpaceX sponsored Hyperloop Pod Competition how they envisage these changes looking. You can view the piece for yourself here.

Here is a snippet of just some of their predictions:

• By 2050, the world reliance on roads will come to an end and we will “commute in the skies”, allowing for higher volume and high-speed travel

• In 11 years it is predicted that all ground transport including cars, buses and trains will be running on renewable energies

• By 2030, Hyperloop could be carrying passengers around the world, at the approximate speed of 760mph and, by 2100, operating to on other colonies outside of earth

We live in a world where facts and fiction get blurred
