BARCELONA, Spain – Ford has announced parking and personal radio apps for its 'Ford Sync with AppLink' at the Mobile World Congress here.
Parkopedia will let drivers search 15-million parking slots across Europe and Aupeo! will voice-control music from more than 200 radio stations across Europe.
Back in 2013 Ford Britain partnered a free UK radio-listening app by Radioplayer which covered BBC stations, commercial radio and a selection of community and student stations.
GROWING RANGE
Paul Mascarenas, Ford’s chief technical officer and vice-president for research and innovation, said: “People want to integrate their personalised digital lives into their daily commute to ensure they are as connected and streamlined on the move as they are the rest of the day.
“These new AppLink partners significantly extend the growing range of smartphone apps which drivers will be able to access by voice while keeping their eyes on the road and hands on the wheel.”
Parkopedia and Aupeo! join the growing number of service providers that have confirmed their apps will work with Ford Sync with Voice Control and AppLink in Europe. Ford had earlierr announced apps from Adac; Audioteka; Cityseeker and Eventseeker by Cities; Glympse; Hotels.com; Kaliki; Spotify and TomTom.

Parkopedia allows parking searches by closest location; cheapest location and availability through constantly updated data from 3000 towns in 20 countries across Europe.
Aupeo! lets users find music by artist, genre or period from more than 200 radio stations worldwide and to personalise the service and access their music history

More than 1.5-million Fords in North America already have Ford Sync with Voice Control and AppLink. Among the first to offer AppLink in Europe is the new Ford EcoSport SUV.
