According to German media Fiat is to name the newcomer "Bravo". The predecessor to the current Stilo was also called the Bravo, which was in production between 1995 and 2001.
Fiat has big plans for the Bravo, which the company hopes will be a true rival to the popular VW Golf. It commissioned previous Ferrari designer Frank Stephenson to design the Bravo. Stephenson was responsible for the styling of cars such as the Ferrari F430 and Maserati MC12.
The underpinning of the Bravo, will also be used for the successor of the Alfa 147 as well as a new compact model from Lancia.
