DS3 crowned 'supermini king'

LONDON, England - French automaker Citroen has dethroned the Honda Jazz as Whatcar.com's supermini king with its DS3 and ranked fourth overall in the 2013 JD Power survey.

DS3 owners rated the car best against all rivals in two thirds of categories with its quirky styling scoring top scores.

FRENCH LOVE AFFAIR

According to Whatcar.com, owners say they love spending time in the car, enjoying the attractive instrument panel, quality trim and sound system. Comfort was next on the list with an easy-to-adjust driver’s seat, snug seatbelts and effective heating and aircon.

Sprightly acceleration and a good engine with enough grunt for overtaking was also rated highly.

The survey also found Citroen’s dealer network was praised for its clean facilities and professionalism. More awards were claimed for the lowest fuel consumption and repair costs.

Browie points were deducted for noisy brakes and engine issues but it still wasn’t enough to deter any owners.
