Germany’s oddest named performance consultancy – Wheelsandmore – has supercharged Audi’s R8. Clever.

Based near the French border in the village of Baesweiler, Wheelsandmore specialises in bespoke, dynamic conversions for top-line European performance cars.

Applying its technical expertise to the Audi R8, Wheelsandmore has extracted additional engine power, refined aerodynamics, embellished styling and fixed more powerful stoppers to Audi’s supercar.

Utilising the most exotic of polymers (carbon-fibre) Wheelsandmore have fashioned a new front lip spoiler and rear diffuser for the R8, which adds surface detailing to the styling and aids stability at speed by managing airflow better.

Hiding behind the massive 20-inch wheels (shod with ludicrously expensive Dunlop Sport Maxx tyres) are new eight-piston front and six-piston rear brake callipers, markedly improving deceleration.

Wheelsandmore has sourced a hydraulic lift-suspension circuit for the R8 too, which enables 30mm of lift on both axles for clearing those menacing kerbs on track days.

Engine tweaking can ordered in two states of tune, either a simple ECU rechipping (which hikes power to from 309kW to 330kW) or a bolt-on supercharger with a custom exhaust system.

The latter, forced-induction option takes power to 390kW, which is incrementally better than the Audi's own forthcoming R8 5.2FSI V10 - not too mention the acoustic blend of the RS4 sourced V8 and supercharger whine reaching crescendo beyond 7 000r/min together.
