Jeep Wrangler gets more 'butch'

The new Jeep Wrangler might be Rubicon trail rated, but this didn't stop Startech from developing some seriously aesthetic accessories for it.

The Startech product lineup includes an extensive chrome package for the exterior, custom-tailored light-alloy wheels with diameters ranging from 19 to 22 inches and exclusive interior options.

Attractive and safe

Gleaming, chrome-plated stainless steel and state-of-the-art pedestrian protection do not have to be mutually exclusive. For the new Wrangler Startech has developed an energy-absorbing front guard that easily met strict EG limits for pedestrian protection in the required crash testing.

The front guard is elastically mounted below the front bumper and comes with EG operating certificate and looks infinitely better than the bulbous standard front bumper.

Stainless-steel rocker panel guards with an integrated plastic step for easier entering and exiting of the vehicle flank the sides. These components are available for both traditional short- and the new long-wheelbase Wrangler models.

The rear of the Wrangler is protected against minor parking damage by highly polished stainless-steel components. A Startech spare-wheel cover with highly polished stainless-steel ring completes the list of exclusive exterior options.

Huge wheels

Startech Monostar IV light-alloy wheels are of the clean, five-spoke design and can be mounted on the Wrangler in three different sizes. The largest tire/wheel combination features polished 10Jx22 wheels with sporty wide tires in size 295/35 R 22.

All the tire options are decidedly road-biased, heralding higher on-road grip and safer handling limits whist inhibiting the traditional Jeep off-road prowess.

Better interior

Interior modifications center primarily on improving the horrid standard Jeep trim. Newly designed trim components for dashboard and center console as well as polished stainless-steel scuff plates greatly enhance the interior ambiance.

With Startech being a Brabus subsidiary they have access to the legendary Brabus in-house upholstery shop which fulfills requests for further customization. The palette ranges from a stylish leather completion set for the front and rear door trim to an innovative leather upholstery for the seats that incorporates classic Jeep design elements.

The upholstery shop also crafts exclusive fully leather interiors from especially soft yet durable Mastik leather and Alcantara.
