Bakkies get a cool 'X-Tra-Lift'

accreditation
Bakkies, or pick-up's as the Americans call them, have hardly lived up to their name. Anybody who has tried to load a jet ski or motorcycle on the back of a bakkie will attest to just how laborious and sometimes hazardous this exercise can be.

Enter Swiss aftermarket tuning specialists Rinspeed, who have brought the X-Tra-Lift to a hugely untapped market. With some 3.4 million bakkies being produced in the United States per year, an awful lot of owners are sure to exchange lower back pain for some X-Tra-Lift.

Hydraulically or electrically powered, the X-Tra-Lift has no direct competitor, except for traditional, lateral drum lifting operations. Maximum lift capacity is 600 kg's.

Discreet in its profile and construction, a further boon is the X-Tra-Lift adaptability: it can be fit to nearly any new or used bakkie.
