'Cake boss' banned from driving

NEW YORK CITY - "Cake Boss" Buddy Valastro says he's "very disappointed" in himself for driving after having a drink in New York City during November 2014. He says he didn't realize he was impaired.

The reality star, whose formal name is Bartolo Valastro, pleaded guilty on Monday (Dec 1) to driving while his ability was impaired. His driving licence will be suspended for three months.

ONE TOO MANY

Valastro said on Monday (Dec 1) he had only one drink before being pulled over but he now realised even one was too many.

The 37-year-old New Jersey resident was stopped after police saw his yellow 2014 Chevrolet Corvette swerving through traffic in Manhattan. A court complaint said his blood-alcohol level was slightly above the legal limit.

Valastro operates several bakeries.
