NORTH CHARLESTON, South Carolina – A law official has resigned after a video was posted online showing his bad driving habits.
The video uploaded to YouTube shows Chad Walton filming the accused Onslow County Deputy, Craig Culpepper driving in the fast lane and then pumping his brakes in front of Walton’s car after he overtook the officer.

At 1:30 you can see the officer cutting in front of Walton and subsequently pumping his brakes, causing him to rear-end the police car.
According to reports by WWAY, Walton said he started filming the officer because “he was driving below the speed limit of 100km/h on the I-526 and holding up traffic.”
"That video doesn't lie. You can see how it happened. You can see the speedometer in the video, where you can see I was going 100km per hour."
After Walton crashed into the car, Culpepper apparently did not stop and drove off. Walton then called 911 and reported the incident. He also said North Charleston Police told him the officer was at fault.
PROVOKED INCIDENT
Culpepper claims Walton, lured him into the incident. He told WWAY: "I fell for it hook, line and sinker. The video is not all of the pieces.
"It doesn't show everything that took place."
He also said he wishes he had a chance to tell his side of the story before the video surfaced. The agency reported several attempts to make contact with the Onslow County Sheriff but none of their calls were returned.
FOUL PLAY
According to a press release from the police, Culpepper claims “Walton drove up behind him and flashed his headlights, and motioned for the deputy to get out of the way.”
Law enforcement sources say this is not the first time they've encountered Walton. According to police, Waltonregularly drives around filming officers to “try and catch them in bad sitautions.”
Culpepper says the Onslow County Sheriff, Ed Brown, offered him a chance to stay on as a detention officer but opted to resign instead. The officer claimed he was in the Charleston area as he was training to be a K9 officer and was returning from completing the 40-hour course when the incident took place.
The Sheriff's Office says damage to the police car was less than R1 000, while Walton hopes the police office will pay for damages to his vehicle too.
