PORT TALBOT, Wales - An image posted on Facebook has led to the arrest of a 17-year-old boy after he had jumped on the bonnet of a three-month old McLaren 12C Spider.
The image of the boy and the 12C Spider, worth the equivalent of R4.4-million, was posted on Facebook.
According to the London Daily Mail, the owner (who did not want to be identified) had received his sports car from a Birmingham dealer only hours before to the incident.
'CRIMINAL DAMAGE'
He had parked illegally on a yellow double line, as he had often done outside a restaurant in Port Talbot, Wale, for the previous three years.
The 17-year-old removed the post from Facebook after the image went viral on social media.
South Wales Police posted on Facebook that he had been arrested.
The post said: "Did you see a photograph posted on Facebook and Twitter of an individual standing on the bonnet of a McLaren Spider sports car parked in Port Talbot town centre?
"We have arrested and charged a 17-year-old male with criminal damage and he will be in court in July."
