The striking GTC, which features a sporty coupe-like design, is to become one of the most eligible Opels available. GMSA sees this model as the "most exciting" Astra yet.
But other good news is that Opel is also revving-up the Astra and Zafira ranges with some diesel power! Opel's 1.9-litre CDTI unit is now available in the Astra, GTC and Zafira.
And for entry-level buyers Opel now offers a 1.4-litre model in the Astra range with almost the same power of a 1600 engine. Although Opel must still finalise pricing for the repositioned Astra range, it is expected that the 1.4-litre model could have a price tag of less than R140 000.
Furthermore GMSA has told Wheels24 that hot OPC versions of most Opel models is also heading to South Africa later this year. Watch this space!
