As expected the Z4 Coupe is to reach production
The production Z4 Coupe won't differ much from the concept car and European sales will start in June 2006. We expect that the first Z4 coupes will arrive in South Africa at the end of next year.
Two models will be available and the entry-level Z4 Coupe will be powered by BMW's new 3.0-litre straight-six engine. This unit develops a maximum output of 195 kW and peak torque of 315 Nm.
The other model in the range will be an M derivative, which gets the BMW M3's 3.2-litre straight-six. It has 252 kW of power available at 7 900 r/min, torque is 365 Nm.
