CUTS GRASS AT 24KM/H

The 1000cc 81kW/96Nm lawn tractor, commissioned by Honda UK and built by its British Touring Car Championship partner Team Dynamics, will appear alongside the 2014 Civic coupe, which will have its world debut at the show, as well as an array of personalised Honda vehicles.

Team Dynamics re-engineered a Honda HF2620 Lawn Tractor into a custom chassis, dropped in a 1000cc engine from a Honda VTR Firestorm, sport suspension and wheels from an ATV. The engine is mated to a six-speed transmission (with paddle shifts), a sport seat, tweaked exhaust and a steering rack from a Morris Minor.

Mean Mower can still cut grass at up to 24km/h.

Honda UK's communications manager Ellie Ostinelli said: “Mean Mower is a fantastic showcase of Honda’s spirit of innovation and pushing boundaries, and our reputation for creating extraordinary pieces of engineering. Sema is a perfect shop window, sitting alongside some of the world’s best automotive innovations.”

The 2013 Sema show will be run from November 5-8.
