WATCH: Take a look at the new Aston Martin DBS Superleggera

An Aston Martin generally needs no introduction but the new flagship DBS Superleggera is an emblem of the company's heritage.

Its name harks back to the original DBS, first launched in 1967 and has grown in stature and performance since then.

Historic significance

The DBS Superleggera has the power to back its sharp and sleek design and will do 0-60mph in under 3.4 seconds with a top speed of around 340km/h.

Power comes in the form of a 5.2 litre V12 engine producing 530kW while the introduction of a carbon fibre body shaves 72kg.

The revised Superleggera ticks all the boxes and it will take something special to surpass.
