WATCH: Kia reveals stylish SA-bound upgraded Sportage

Kia is set to begin sales of a revised Sportage internationally - here's what's new with the Korean marque's flagship SUV.

Its re-styled front and rear bumper together with a new headlight signature blend together to create a much more assertive look.

Kia South Africa says the revised Sportage will arrive here locally towards the end of October or early November.

Articulate in every sense

The upgraded Sportage features a spruced up interior while the addition of an 8" touch screen adds further simplicity and elegance for the driver.

These European specs also feature Kia’s latest advanced driving assistance systems, including Smart Cruise Control with Stop&Go, an around view monitor for easier parking manoeuvres, and driver attention warning, to combat fatigue and inattentiveness at the wheel.

Engine options include the model's standard 1.6-litre petrol, a 1.6-litre diesel and a bigger 2.0-litre diesel mild hybrid version that tops off the engine range.

Details and specifications for South African models will be revealed at the local launch later this year.

With the much-anticipated release of the Stinger still to come, Kia is most definitely making a statement.
