WATCH: BMW films awesome new X7 ad in Cape Town

Automakers are cashing in gargantuan-sized luxury SUVs and BMW is the latest automaker set to launch one in South Africa.

The first-ever X7 will be on SA roads in the first quarter of 2019 and made its debut at an exclusive event at the Zeitz Mocca, a contemporary art museum in Cape Town in November 2018 just after it was shown at the Los Angeles motor show.

And that's not where the link between the X7 and Cape Town ends, the automaker released an advertisement on its USA YouTube channel called: The First-Ever BMW X7: Legend.

Keen viewers will notice that parts of the ad were shot in Cape Town's CBD and at the dockyard area.
