WATCH | Bentley Flying Spur is luxury on wheels, equipped for royal velour

For more than a century, the name Bentley has been the epitome of luxury.

A brand fit for the Queen it seems: Bentley is an official supplier to the British Royal Family. No wonder - the hand-crafted materials in the interior ooze comfort and luxury.

Bentley South Africa says the new Flying Spur can be expected to arrive locally during the first quarter of 2020.

Oozing royalty

Under the bonnet, your eyes and ears feast upon a 6.0-litre, 12-cylinder engine with a trident power output of 467kW and 900Nm. Enjoy effortless acceleration as it races from 0-100km/h in just 3.8-seconds, running to an eventual top speed of 333km/h. All of this is bolted to a smooth-shifting eight-speed dual-clutch transmission - not bad for a car weighing in at 2 437kg.

Whether you're inside or out, eyes cannot move fast enough to process the refinement on offer here. The full LED matrix headlamps feature a cut crystal effect while the wings of the badge are made of glass and illuminate when the driver approaches the car.

All models come standard with 21-inch wheels, while there is a Mulliner Driving specification that gives you the option of a 22-inch wheel, and can be given a commanding stature with the use of adjustable air suspension.

From the intricately-wrapped leather seats to the front screen infotainment system with 12.3-inch high definition capacitive touchscreen display, both driver and passengers can immerse themselves in quality fit for the most prestigious.

Buyers have a choice of 17 exterior paint colours and a host of exclusive optional extras to choose from.
