The new Focus is scheduled to make its appearance on local roads early next year during Q1.

Comfort is key to the more refined and upscale all-new Focus occupant experience. Front seat occupants will enjoy generous shoulder room of 1421mm, and instrument panel positioning is optimised for greater space.

7. More Ford models on the way

The new Focus is one of many new Ford headed to South Africa including the  Ecosport (arrives end of July 2018) and the Raptor (set for local launch in 2019). The new Fiesta and Figo have already been launched earlier in 2018.

8. New and improved transmission

Ford’s new quick-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission is engineered to further optimise fuel-efficiency and deliver responsive performance.

Ford’s latest six-speed manual transmissions also enhance the driving experience with improved shift quality; reduced gear whine and rattle.

The all-new Focus delivers fuel-efficiency and CO2 emission improvements of 10% across the range, according to the automaker.

Fuel-efficiency is further improved by weight-reductions of up to 88kg compared with the outgoing Focus.
