Cape Town - The 2017 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS, now with 331kW courtesy of a new turbo, arrived at the Wheels24 office late in June.
Available since the second quarter of this year, the updated model's 3.0-litre flat six engine produces 550Nm from 2150 r/min to 5000r/min.
It's a stonking amount of surge that catapults the car from 0-100km/h in 3.7 seconds and onto a top speed of 312km/h (claimed).
Fire up the engine
Our test unit was fitted with the seven-speed PDK gearbox with power sent to the rear wheels.
...And cold, 'wintery mornings' mean well, a cold start up.
