The Hyundai Atos is back in South Africa, now boasting modern styling and impressive standard features than its predecessor.
"Our previous model carrying the Atos name has sold 45 092 units in South Africa and – together with the Tucson and Getz – helped to cement the Hyundai brand as a trustworthy one that delivers quality cars with a long road life,” says Stanley Anderson, sales and operations director at Hyundai Automotive South Africa.
A familiar name
As far as power figures are concerned, its 1.1-litre engine is good for 50kW and 99Nm with frugal fuel consumption of 5.7-litres/100km. Swapping cogs is done via a 5-speed manual gearbox. It will slot into the local Hyundai range below the Grand i10.
Some of the standard features include an infotainment system with a 17cm touch screen and Apple Carplay and Bluetooth connectivity, multi-function steering, USB points, front electric windows and ISOFIX child seat attachment points.
Customers have the choice of 6 body colours to choose from - Acid Yellow, Polar White, Titan Grey, Fiery Red, Alpha Blue and Typhoon Silver. It is competitively priced at R159 900.
It comes with Hyundai's popular seven-year/200 000km warranty, a one-year service plan and roadside assistance for seven years or 150 000km.
