The new Mazda 3 is the 2019 Women's World Car of the Year

The Mazda 3 has been named as the 'Supreme Winner' of the 2019 Women's World Car of the Year awards.

Established in 2010, the voting panel consists of a panel of female judges from over 30 different countries, who are asked to vote according to criteria women use when buying a car.

The essence of Kodo design

Hatchback and sedan models each have their own distinct personalities and epitomises the Kodo design language that is evident in its design.

South African motoring journalist Charleen Clarke, is one of the 30 international judges for the Women's World Car of the Year.

Clarke says on the Mazda 3: "The judges are located all over the world but they were unanimous in their praise for this stylish and comfortable vehicle. There were several aspects of the car that we really liked, including but not limited to the accessibility of controls, space for passengers and luggage and the elegant design inside and out.

"We were extremely impressed with the interior, which is a real quality act.

"Equipment levels are good, as are levels of tech. The powertrains are good as are the safety features.

"In summary, we believe that this is well balanced and outstanding family car that is also a joy to drive. It is also very good value for money; you get a lot of car for the price."
