The Volkswagen Polo slots into second place with 10 177 units, followed by the Toyota Corolla/Quest (7127 units) in third place. Importantly, the all-new Corolla hatchback was launched early in 2019 and is it not counted with the still-previous-generation Corolla sedan and Quest sedan.
Fourth place goes to SA’s favourite SUV, the Toyota Fortuner, with a solid sales figure of 6449 units. The Renault Kwid (4831 units) is next, narrowly edging out another little city car, the Hyundai Grandi10 (4826 units).
The Toyota Etios is seventh on our sales chart with 4210 units sold, ahead of the only Ford in our list, the EcoSport, on 4150 units. Also launched earlier this year is the new Toyota RAV4 that has managed 3723 units.
The tenth and final position goes to the Datsun Go on 3279 units.
