• New 4 Series Coupe leaked

• Official launch via digital stream on Tuesday June 2

• M440i xDrive is the flagship model until the M4 is unveiled in September

With the world premiere of the second-generation BMW 4 Series set to make its world debut on Tuesday, social media was abuzz with leaked images from the new model's official brochure.

Images of the G-22 model were leaked on Instagram by BMWorldM and Wilcoblok, and gave us a first look at the coupe's new grille in production form. The latest take on the carmaker's kidney grille was first seen on the Concept 4 shown at last year's Frankfurt motor show.

Sleek coupé design

The image of the car is part of the model's brochure according to the trusted BMW Blog and features the top of the range, for now, the M440i xDrive derivative.

While the kidney grille will dominate conversations, the headlights are not as narrow as the concept car and the overall profile does justice to the BMW's sleek coupé design philosophy.

The M440i is powered by the familiar 3.0-litre turbocharged straight-six producing 275kW and, according to BMW Blog, 'it will also be the first petrol BMW to feature a 48V vehicle power supply' when it is launched at the end of the year.
