Peugeot adds diesel power to 3008 range

Johannesburg - The 3008 Active and Allure models now comprise of two engine variants, the 1.6 THP Auto and the 2.0 litre HDi.

The 3008 Active 2.0HDi is paired with a six speed manual gearbox whilst all the other variants boast an Automatic gearbox.

110kW/370Nm

The 2.0 litre HDi 4 cylinder 1997 cc engine is compact, lightweight and fuel efficient due to its reduced weight and size. It delivers power output of 110kW at 4000rpm and 370Nm of torque at 2000r/minand reaches a top speed of 201km/h. 

Peugeot says the model uses a 5.0-litres/100km and Co2 emissions of just 136g/km.

The All-New Peugeot 3008 SUV was acclaimed as the overall ‘Car of the Year’ and the Diesel Car Top 50 in 2017.

The company is a leading manufacturer of low emission vehicles and more than half of its global sales are for vehicles emitting less than 140 g of CO2 per kilometre.

Peugeot has also led the way on many breakthrough technologies including Stop/Start and a new generation of diesel engines.

The diesel particulate filter is the most efficient solution in the automotive industry today. The most recent, the additive particulate filter eliminates 99.9% of the particulates emitted by a diesel engine.
