Power output has increased to 441kW and torque to 700Nm from its 4.4-litre, high-revving V8 engine featuring TwinPower Turbo technology.

This model is ultra-exclusive with production limited to 200. South Africa will only receive six units, available from November 2016.

Prices will start at R1 964 500.

The Competition Package includes, inter alias, a lowering of the vehicle by 10mm and a firmer setup of spring and damper systems and stabilizers.

In conjunction with this modified setup, the specific control setting for the standard Active M differential.

Special bits and pieces

Further, the steering system with an M specific Servotronic function comes with a more direct control map, providing the driver with more precise response and further enhancing the car’s agility in bends.

In addition, the M Dynamic Mode of the stability control system DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) has been further aligned to sporty handling characteristics. Carbon-ceramic brakes are an option.

BMW will only use two hues: Carbon Black metallic and Mineral White metallic. Both designated with 100 models.

Only the Mineral White metallic will be available in South Africa.
