Peugeot South African has announced the recently-crowned European Car of the Year, the 208 hatchback, will arrive in South Africa in the final quarter of 2020.
The 208 beat six finalists to claim the prestigious award. The French carmaker says the judges were impressed by the 208's design and by high-levels of technology available in the new car.

Installed in the 208 is Peugeot's next-generation 3D i-Cockpit which has hologram technology. Essentially, 3D holograms are displayed on the configurable 3D head-up display, this is turn allows the information to be closer to the drivers’ field of vision to highlight potential hazards.
Notable features on the new car car include adaptive cruise control, active lane positioning assist. Peugeot says the 208 is shipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity as standard.
